cookies used by wp subscribers and W3 total cache

Post by commentluv »

it appears that with W3 total cache enabled that WPSubscribers is not able to 'remember' if a user has closed a pop up and it will show the pop up on every page load.

there is an option in w3 total cache to add rejected cookies.

do you think that would make a difference?

is there another way to make wp subscribers popups play nice with w3 total cache so that logged out users aren't shown the same popup on every page load?

It's certainly worth a try Andy. We tried a lot of things prior but so much has changed in the W3 codebase that anything might be worth testing. This remains an ongoing glaring problem that must be fixed soon.

We have a beta version with a fix for W3 total cache, it will be released in the version 1.51
but looking in the source code, we found that closing the popup wasn't saved anytime, the only way to not see the popup is to subscribe ( actually to click on the button subscriber, whatever, if it is valid or not )

If you want to participate to discussion and beta version, please contact me on skype , my nickname is "supermimai"
