Opt-in Popup Not Displaying

Post by Randy Kalp »

I followed the checklist but still can't get the popup to display. Honestly, I think it may have something to do with Jquery on our site, but I'm not really sure how to work around that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Our website is http://beersandbeans.com and we are running WP 3.4.1.

Thanks,

Randy

don't you have a cache plugin too ?

I see this line of code in your source, which seems to be outdated

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://beersandbeans.com/wp-content/the ... 3.2.min.js"></script>

do you know how to edit the source file and update jquery reference ?

Yes, we do; it's WP Super Cache. However, when I turned off the cache before it didn't appear, and I just tried again and nothing. I'm not sure how to edit the source file and update jquery reference. Honestly, I'm not sure where to locate that information.

that's the trick for me too.. because without access, I can't help too much. what you can do is looking and unactivate each plugin, and look at the source of the theme and look for jquery, and you have a version in front of the file ( in the line code )

I went through and unactivated each plugin but the jquery never changed in this <script type="text/javascript" src="http://beersandbeans.com/wp-content/... ... "></script>. I don't know if it has anything to do with the theme, but we are using Los Angeles 1.4 on Wordpress.

Really appreciate any advice you can give.

I can`t make my custom popup to display. I already sent email about it last week, but no reply yet. Please advise. My website http://hide-my-ip.ca

The footer was working fine, till I started to play with the popup.

The link that I gave you-the one that is truncated-is the one that you provided me with. So, I'm not sure why you can't comment on it. If you tell me what you need I can try to find the right link. I'm still waiting to hear back from theme author; however, I don't the think I'm in the wrong for asking for your help. All I'm trying to do is just figure this out.
