Cannot print on Network printer. VPDAgent automatically stops

I have installed the latest version of GreenCloud printer but have been unable to use it.
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate. My printer is HP LaserJet P1007.
I have installed the printer for networking on my TP Link Router (TD-W8968), [
http://www.tp-link.in/products/details/ ... =TD-W8968] with the USB Printer controller software (TD-W8968_V1_USB Printer Controller Utility For Windows) [
http://www.tp-link.in/Resources/softwar ... ontro.zip] which works fine otherwise.
I have also noticed that after manually starting the VPDAgent, and keeping the setting at Automatic, it automatically stops after a print command.
I have also disable the option called "Render print jobs on client computers" in both printer's sharing properties. Also have tried removing the printer on the client, then add it again.
Any help for me to use the GreenCloud printer will be greatly appreciated.
Regards.
Mike

Ok, please create a folder named "tmp" on your C: drive (if it doesn't exist already). Now when you print to GreenCloud, a log file should be created in this folder.
Please post the content here, or send me the file.

Both prints are queued in the GreenCloud Printer spooler!

So just to get this straight: You're printing to a local GreenCloud installation, or did you share GreenCloud on one computer, and print to it from another machine?

I do not understand your question? I have GreenCloud as the default printer.

The printer is attached to my wireless router. I have set up GreenCloud only on one Laptop.

You mentioned the sharing options, that's why I thought you were printing to it from another machine.
Are you printing from an administrator account, or restricted user account?

Administrator account!

I mentioned the sharing options because I had seen that in another thread (Network Printer) on this forum.

Alright, I forwarded the log to the driver team. I will get back to you once I have news!

I'm suspecting a problem with some registry setting. Please hold down the Windows key and press "R", then enter the following command (best way is to copy and paste it):
Code: Select all
reg export HKLM\Software\ObviousIdea\GreenCloudPrinter c:\tmp\gc_export.reg
This will create a registry file in C:\tmp. Please post its contents here.

Ok, can you check if this file exists: C:\Program Files\ObviousIdea\GreenCloud\GCHelper.exe
If you try to run it, there should be a message saying it cannot be run directly...
