Fabrice asked me to post this in public, so here we go.

The software does not store the whole EXIF information!

I have resized a picture with LIR and with Irfanview and then extracted (copied) the EXIF information of each file to the clipboard.
Attached there are three files: The original EXIF data (copied with Irfanview), the EXIF data of Irfanviews copy and that one of LIRs copy.

As you can see, LIR does NOT store the vendor information, thus the elementary data as the owner, the camera serial info and the firmware info is missing.

Why can't LIR simply copy the complete EXIF information as Irfanview does?

Please confirm the exact Light Image Resizer version you have to be sure.

I have removed the files in the meantime. But you should find them in your facebook messages!

LIR copies all the EXIF information, unfortunately the used API was damaging the vendor specific data (MakerNote).
I've implemented a different approach. Please check out this version:
